Cryogenic LNG Storage Tank

High-Performance LNG Storage Solutions for Energy, Industry, and Transportation

The Cryogenic LNG Storage Tank is a double-wall, vacuum-insulated pressure vessel designed to safely store liquefied natural gas at temperatures down to –162°C. The inner vessel is constructed from stainless steel or low-temperature alloy steel, while the outer shell is fabricated with high-strength carbon steel. The space between the double wall is filled with multi-layer insulation (MLI) and high vacuum, ensuring excellent thermal performance.

These tanks are widely used in LNG satellite stations, LNG fueling stations, industrial energy supply systems, peak-shaving stations, gas power plants, metallurgy, chemical processing, and clean-energy projects.

5) Low Operating Cost & High Value

  • Long insulation life

  • Reduced LNG loss due to ultra-low evaporation rate

  • Stable pressure maintenance

  • Suitable for long-term continuous operation

How the LNG Storage Tank Works

LNG is stored inside the inner vessel under cryogenic conditions. The combination of high vacuum, multi-layer insulation, and specialized structural design prevents heat ingress and maintains LNG at its liquid state.

Key working principles:

  • The vacuum insulation layer reduces thermal conduction and radiation.

  • The multi-layer insulation film minimizes heat transfer.

  • The pressure-regulating system ensures stable operating pressure.

  • The safety valve & bursting disc provide dual protection.

  • The process pipeline system allows filling, discharge, pressure release, and metering.

This system ensures efficiency, safety, and long-term stability in industrial and energy applications.
